Night Duty Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE

This position assumes functional responsibility and full accountability for supporting the Operations Manager in managing the performance of designated sites and within JR Security Service portfolio during the night. The position is an important conduit for information, reporting and implementation of direction to and from the Operations Manager and site based employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

  • Site visits to ensure compliance and provide support to field staff during the night
  • Provide advice to field staff on operational matters, Award interpretation, Company policy and security protocols
  • Interpret and implement Site Operating Procedures set by our clients, and provide training to site based staff
  • Keep records of and monitor employees available for assignments, including skills, performance levels, availability and dependability
  • During the assignment process ensure that the following cost areas are clearly monitored and contained within established benchmarks relating to Overtime, Training and Leave.
  • Forecast staffing requirements for sites allocated. This will include a contingency plan for absences, customary turnover and training requirements
  • •Monitor individual performance and reliability levels

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST DEMONSTRATE

  • Excellent time management skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation
  • High level administrative and organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, adhere to deadlines, follow through and accept responsibility
  • Ability to maintain a proactive approach in solving problems rather than a reactive approach  
  • Demonstrated evidence of facilitating clear communication and direction to staff at all levels
  • Significant experience in rostering in a multi-site operational environment
  • Demonstrated competence in situation analysis and decision making
  • Broad knowledge of the application of Awards, EBA’s/AWA’s
  • Minimum Certificate 3 in Security Operations
